At the heart of the new development in Waterloo is a unique Culinary and Hospitality Institute that will foster innovation and entrepreneurship for the region’s burgeoning tourism sector. This cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional centre builds on more than 30 years of success in delivering culinary and hospitality training at Conestoga.

Tourism HR Canada predicts that up to 168,000 jobs in Canada – 75,000 in Ontario alone – will remain unfilled by 2025 due to a shortage of qualified workers.

Canada’s travel and tourism sector employs more than 1.7 million people and generates $88.5 billion in economic activity each year.

Conestoga is Ontario’s only college in the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance, the leading global network of education excellence for culinary arts and the hospitality trades.
